Leave it to McDonalds Corp to find a way to completely take the taste out of Mexican food. Sure, it's been done before, but never on such a grand scale as this nationally marketed burrito chain. For all those middle Americans who no doubt fear the burrito and/or have no idea what one should taste like, this should be the perfect crossover opportunity. I have to say, the advertising campaign for Chipotle is one of the most truthful I've seen in recent years. The posters show the a burrito with tinfoil still on, but of course we know that in food photography, there really isn't a burrito inside that tinfoil, it's just an art department mock up. Mmmm… some tinfoil wrapped around a log of Styrofoam? Yup, that's about what the food tastes like....
