I have been on a search to find the best mocha in town, and Break Espresso is one of my top two places. Not too sweet, coffee not too bitter. (Only the Espresso Bar at the Market in the UC beats them, and that's based on price). Their desserts are delicious - I heartily recommend the Mocha Pecan Pie. It's not like a traditional pecan pie (too sweet for my taste), but rather like a big fudgy mocha brownie, loaded with pecans and a little caramel. I had to take part of it home - but that just made the pleasure last longer. Break is home to the Thursday night Spanish speakers club, and also offers ongoing events such as live music and other performances. Funky decor, and very friendly barristas. Highly recommended.
