I'm not sure why I prefer Lowe's to Home Depot, but I do. Maybe it's all that orange that grates on my nerves. I get it. Orange = construction. But it also means caution, beware, careful. It makes me tense. I prefer the mellow blue home improvement color, the "you can do it" calm tones. Really, the two stores are about the same. Customer service is fine. You get exercise walking from one end of the store to the other searching for the doo-hicky that probably has a name and you try to describe it and should have brought it in, but you didn't. ("Is this it?" no. "Let's go check in aisle 549 then.")
