A non-profit organization, KAR is a no-kill rescue that works with volunteers to foster pets until they find a forever home. Local vets work with the rescue to provide reduced rate exams and spay/neutering for all of the animals in the rescue. There is an adoption fee depending upon the age and type of animal (between $70 - $150) which pays for the veternary care, food, and supply bills KAR accumulates.
