I adore Coach. Pricey, yes! Their spring '06 line is especially fun. They've taken the classic coach styling and added a pretty pastel palette and it really works. The patchwork tote is my favorite, though I'm not about to drop $400 on it.
If you're looking for "deals" I agree with Jeff - head north to the Premium Outlet mall. The Coach outlet will be mobbed with people - for good reason! You can get authentic, first quality (Coach doesn't "do" seconds) here for a fraction of the retail cost. They also carry umbrellas, scarves and some clothing (jackets, etc.)
