This is a very beautiful wildlife refuge located off of business 281 south. It is kind of hard to find and hidden way past the expressway.
There is a fee to enter however you can buy a yearly pass very cheap, I think we paid like $10 or $12 dollars. They have a couple of trails which all vary in the distance and amount of time you want to spend out there. There are a lot of trees and little ponds to stop and birdwatch. Certain areas of the refuge have moss covered trees that are absolutely beautiful and kind of creepy at the same time.
There is a nice bike trail also. Plus, you can go on nature tours and stop in at the gift shop where the staff is extremely friendly.
