When I recently received my Pier 1 gift card that I had chosen as my July's super certificate reward, I could hardly wait to go shop at Pier 1! I hadn't been in the store for almost a year, even though I live close by. I am not sure why I hadn't gone for some time, because the last time that I shopped there, they had some great sales going on!
I was very surprised to see that the store was not very well stocked. Many shelves were empty, and not a large selection of their wonderfully unique items.
The one cashier that worked there somehow made me feel uncomfortable, also. She asked me a few times if I was ready, and I was still browsing! I was the only customer in the store, also! I felt her eyes on me while browsing....it felt a little weird!
But, I did walk away with some great buys, two mood music cd's for 35% off, a bottle of Plumtopia room spray for 35% off, and a couple of candles. All purchased with my wonderful July reward from Judy's Book!
But, I don't think I will be going back to Pier 1 for some time, I wasn't all that thrilled!
