But they had it coming to them. The barista informed me that Ladro means "thief" in Spanish; tongue-in-cheek naming and we're in on the heist. You see, we've pretty much abandoned the nearby Starbucks since Caffe Ladro hit town. Ladro is a coffee house and bakery. They have two very popular blends - Queen Anne and Fremont. Both are excellent. Gotta try their butterhorn - too good! The pastries they're selling at Starbucks pale in comparison.
They have a drive-thru, too, which is handy. They're not speedy, but they're worth the wait.
