Houlihans is a nice place to eat when you don't want too casual or too dressy, you want generous portions, and a well-trained wait staff. The food is good, but not gourmet. We like the ribs, the salmon, and the kids like their menu. The grilled shrimp are occasionally overcooked, but the management is serious about taking good care of you and will fix it. They have a bruschetta salad that is really unusual...never seen anything like it, with white beans, goat cheese and a balsamic dressing. They offer beer flights, which are cute little glasses with your choice of beers from the flight list (some are downright odd) and their newest innovation is mini-desserts. They are only 2 bucks, and they're smaller than usual, so you can actually eat and afford them! Heck, get three and share with your tablemates!
We like Houli's because there is hardly ever a wait, the food is good, the prices are reasonable and the service is great.
