Nice furniture, bad service. 3/21/2006

It is hard to find good quality furniture around here. The options are limited. We went to Lacks because they have a huge selection. We found the furniture after spending many hours looking in the store. When it was time to set up delivery they gave us a date. The day came and went and still no furniture. We spoke to the man that sold us the furniture many times. He said the items were shipped and arrived damaged at the store. They would not deliver it to us. When we finally got the piece it was damaged. They wanted to send someone over to "repair" the item. We fought with them for a little while longer, and got them to come back and exchange the furniture. They then tried to deliver the items unannounced. When I called to find out what happened the lady gave me attitude. The whole process was a headache. I hope we have more options if we need to buy expensive furniture again. more
