My family and I went to Old Chicago for Lunch today using my City Editor gift card from last months rewards :) We love the food so this was a nice treat!
The overall dining experience was pleasant. When we arrived we were seated and the waitress brought us beverages quickly. She was very friendly! She even humored my husbands request of a diet pepsi with grenadine in it and cherries and kept the refills coming!
We ordered the Guacamole Burger, Turkey Stromboli and kids Chicken Strips Meal. While it was lunch time our order did come in good time and the waitress even ran to get us some crackers packages when our 1 year old started getting fidgety waiting.
The food is outstanding :) Their desert is to die for as well- Their Cheesecake is HUGE and homemade. They also have Big Cookies served pizza panstyle with ice cream- both big hits in our family :)
There was a mistake made in our order and they brought a Turkey Burger instead of the Turkey Stromboli. They offered to let me keep the Turkey burger to take home and go finish up my order properly! It did take awhile to get my correct order but it was worth the wait. In the end, when our bill came, BOTH the Turkey Burger extra AND my Stromboli was free- They graciously apologized and gave us two entrees on the house for their mistake! The bill only came to $15. After tipping, I still have $5 on my GC for another trip :)
It was a delicious experience, Highly recommend for their food and wonderful customer service.
