We use Road Runner through Time Warner Cable and are pleased with it. We pay $150/month for cable TV (including HBO and our digital video recording feature), phone and Internet service. We rarely have problems. Only on occasion, such as a holiday, do I feel like the service is slow due to heavy usage. I have tried by cannot find any service that has that speed and reliability for that price! Nothing's cheap, but in our society we value speed, so I can't be without my cable modem!
