The Alexis has to be the busiest diner in Newburgh. Located at Route 9W right near the exit from Route 84 and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, the Alexis gets a lot of out of towners in, but also has a lot of local regulars. They have a huge menu and great desserts, which tempt you as you are waiting to be seated. The service is quick, which is important in a diner, and they have expanded the number of healthy entrees and sandwiches they serve, which I appreciate.
