This is a true Pittsburgh tradition. You can get Mancini’s breads in your local grocery stores and some restaurants around town, but make the special trip to McKees Rocks and pick up a loaf fresh out of the oven. They have your basic standard fare like rolls, buns and regular bread loaves, but have become trendier with things like focaccia. Try their twists (hot, please) and raisin bread. I like to buy a bag of dough and take it home to make calzones. Delicious! Expect to wait in line for your order, and the parking situation can be annoying, but it’s worth the trip.
