Dr. McGouran is a very kind doctor. However, he is very proactive. This can be good if you have something serious, but he likes to run blood tests at the drop of a hat. The very first time I went to see him about some arthritis, I did $800 worth of blood work on me. I took my son in for coughing/congestion/etc. and he did a blood test on him "just to make sure it's not bacterial". So, if you are having health problems and want to get to the bottom of it, he's probably your man. If it's a minor illness and you don't want to spend lots of money on blood tests, choose someone else.
