This Travelodge is a dump. Our room was so bad. The furniture was all dinged and scratched up, the carpet had so many stains and cigarette burns, and the trim was half painted. The walls also had wallpaper around the top, and they ran out so they just left this big gap in the wallpaper. The sidewalks all the way around the motel were cracked and broken up. You could see a buildup of dust and dirt around the furniture. They never even bothered to move the furniture and vacuum under it.
The Continental breakfast consisted of a large tub of butter, a large tub of peanut butter, and two large tubs of jelly, not the individual tubs, some cereal and some toast. The juice was Sunny D. It was more like a community kitchen and we were just expected to be ok with it. While we were eating breakfast, the owner was eating breakfast in her sweats (!!!) at the other table. There were only two tables the sat 2 people each!
They advertise an in-room spa, but there is no such thing. The hot tub was totally unusable because it had tiles missing and also had a large black ring of buildup around the top of the whole top tub. We couldn’t use the pool either because it had rust in the bottom. We tried to get a refund but they told us it was too late. We had not choice but to stay, and it was so bad that we could not even put our baby down to play. We had to hold the baby the whole time.
We paid around eight dollars for this hotel and it was a total rip off and waste of money!
This hotel is so bad, please do not book it. If you have to stay in Santa Maria choose another hotel. This was by far the WORST experience that I ever had at a hotel!
