Angithi is currently my favorite of Tampa’s choices for Indian cuisine. Nothing too fancy, but expect high quality food for a fair price. The meals are richly spiced and delicious. They excel with vegetarian and chicken entrees. The palak paneer is amazing—hot, creamy, and lots of tender pieces of paneer (homemade cheese made with whole milk). Expect large portions and fresh ingredients from Angithi.
It’s not just the entrees that are so good, but all the little items you may take for granted. Chutneys, nans, papadams, rices—they all meet my highest expectations. Honestly the only complaint I’ve ever had there was some slightly dry chicken tikka. On future visits the chicken tikka was wonderful. I often order take-out meals from Angithi and the quality is just as good when I get it home.
The service is outstanding—and that’s a rare thing for me to say about any restaurant nowadays. The friendly and efficient staff adds to the overall experience.
