It's best to go in the evening on a warm, sunny day, to get a place with a decent view, and to sit outside. If you're a tourist visiting the Pike Place Market, it's also one of the nicer places to have lunch. Yes, the interior is rather lovely too, but in an ideal circumstance, if you're having a romantic encounter or a relaxing evening with friends, get some appetizers and drinks and watch the sunset. It is of course a lousy place to watch the sunrise because it is shadowed in the mornings by the tall building across the street from it.
