Belgium in the Meatpacking District 12/21/2006

If I move to Belgium, I will become incredibly fat. Then again, if I stay in New York and continue to eat at Markt, the same thing may occur. I cannot resist the steak frites with a lovely little green side salad, dressed to perfection, let alone the frites themselves. Pair this with a Chimay Rouge or Blanc and I am a goner in food and beverage heaven. The wooden decor may just look like another bar, but it is surprisingly comfortable. If you come in warm weather, all of the window/doors will be open and for about 5 seconds you may feel like you are dining in Europe. more
