Stanley's Fruit Market offers Chicago's best priced produce, and always has a wide selection. You can find a variety of veggies herbs and spices at far lower costs than any other market in the area. I've found great tasting fresh fruits and vegetables and filled an entire cart for under 20 bucks. I usually spend about 15 dollars a week in this store and am able to get enough produce for the week. Their organic products are usually of far better quality than the non organics.It is not uncommon to find green peppers at 59-79 cents a pound. But there are times when you'll need to pick through tons of half rotten items before finding a gem. There has never been a time when I've shopped here that absolutely everything looked great. Stanley's market just recently remodeled and expanded their store to double it's size. They have the potential to be great, if they would just keep up with getting rid of the ugly and the moldy. They often display moldy avocados and tomatoes, which makes the store look shabby. I give them a great rating because I have purchased my produce from them for years and you cannot beat their prices.
