Pilcher park nature center is a great place to take young children. They have all sorts of programs from toddler age on up. You can just go to look at the small animals in the nature center or go on a guided walk. A favorite in the nature center are the turtles which are in the lobby area and kids can touch them. The area is beautiful and the Birdhaven area has gorgeous gardens. I take my kids there to take outdoor pictures and many people stop there to take wedding photos.
