Six Flags is the roller coaster destination for the Chicago metro area. The park attractions range from children's rides to top-notch thrill machines, but most of the patrons are visiting for the coasters. Ticket prices are around $40 for a day, but you can usually get a return ticket for less than $20. There are plenty of food booths and restaurants, but they're a bit expensive. My advice to you is to arrive early. When my wife and I visited this summer, we rode the same number of coasters during the first hour as we did for the rest of the day. Watch out for long lines on new rides, too.
