Well, yes, I know you can use the ferry to get from one place to another, but did you know the ferry takes round trip walk on passengers? We did this a couple months ago and our kids had a blast! The ferry has a plush enclosed deck as well as a top exposed deck. It takes about an hour and 15 minutes each way. When you get to the Delaware side they have a trolley that can take you shopping or just into the town of Lewes. If you just want to hang around and watch the ferries, there is a cafeteria, playground and mini golf!
