El Gallito offers typical Tex-Mex-ish cuisine: flautas, quesadillas, enchiladas, plus beans and rice, of course. While nothing original, the food's tasty enough to keep me coming back for more. Upon request, they will substitute your refried beans for something not cooked in lard. They also offer a brunch on weekends with omelettes and other good stuff.
It's a dimly-lit, festive restaurant that for some reason is usually playing salsa music. All in all I recommend it as the best option for "Mexican" in this area.
