We took my in-laws to the Signature Room during the Air and Water Show a few years back. We lucked out and got great seats near the window. On the 95th floor of the Hancock, we had a terrific view!
In fact, supposedly the best "view" of Chicago can be had in the lady's room. I can believe it. Sorry gentlemen, but no looks for you!
They do a very reasonably priced lunch buffet, so if money is an issue, you can still enjoy this restaurant. Reservations are a must, though they plan for a certain amount of "walk ins."
One way to enjoy the view without the price is to eat in the bar area. They have a nice selection of appetizers and sandwiches to choose from, and impressive views everywhere. Still a bit expensive but the view makes it very worth it.
