Most 3 year olds I've met do not have the attention span required for these classes. Upon taking my 3 year old to the first class, the instructor had all of the kids lined up, and went through, "This is first position, this is second position, etc." At the end, she said, "Okay, now show me first position." The kids were expected to remember exactly what she had shown them after the first time. She started to get a bit testy when the kids didn't repeat the right move right away. She also didn't have much tolerance for kids that wanted to run around and not stand in line. I just don't know of a kid that young who can deal with that sort of instruction.
