Has potential, but crowded and noisy! 12/28/2005

To be fair, we tried Chiang's Gourmet for Christmas Eve dinner, so it may have been unusually crowded and noisy, but getting service, including ordering, water, table settings for *all* our guests (there were 6 of us), our drinks, and the meals took FOREVER. We had two guests over 90 years old, so we ordered from the less-authentic menu, six family style Sezchwan dinners. The food was probably the best Chinese I've found so far in Seattle, but in all the dinner lasted *two and a half hours* -- much longer than we expected, or wanted, and every part of the meal came out separately. In fact, one item I ordered never arrived at all. I'd give this another try and certainly recommend it to anyone looking for good Chinese food, but if the service didn't improve I wouldn't give it a third chance -- the food wasn't good enough for that. more
