"A man's dog should never be smaller than his briefcase."" - saying from an old Esquire or Playboy mag
I have 2 labs - actually I have one and the kids have the other. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful dogs. And both are obviously bigger than my briefcase.
My dogs will forever go to Bishop Ranch for their care. And considering the Black Lab is 15 (picture posted here), he needs a fair amount of care.
About a year ago, the old lab got out (daughter left the front door open) and somehow his id tags had fallen off. He doesn't see or hear well anymore so once he wanders off, he really can't find his way home or hear us calling him.
Long story made short - he was found by a man who happens to be a tech at Bishop Ranch. He put him in his car and took him to BR and had him checked out in case he had been hit or something. Checked out fine (fortunately), and the man then put him back into his car and started driving all over the neighborhoods where he found him. About an hour later he saw an SUV driving slowly with people calling a name out of the windows. That turned out to be my wife and daughter.
The dog was returned, hugs were exchanged, and the next day an appointment was scheduled for the chip id implantation for both dogs at Bishop Ranch.
We have been going since and have been impressed with the service and care every step of the way.
PS: Everyone should get their dogs id'ed.
