Liberal? Drink? join Drinking Liberally, a grassroots political group of like minds who meet every thursday from 7:30 onward. The meeting place, Rudy's Bar and Grill, is a gem of a bar on 9th Ave, serving up cold brew at good prices. A backyard garden for when it gets a bit too humid inside, and free hot dogs and popcorn add to the mix.
When you get there, introduce yourself, buy a pitcher of beer and just talk. Justin, the organizer and founder of DL will be there so, look for a guy surrounded by women - that's Jusitn... who knows, Gifford Miller or Gerry Nadler may be there as well.
