I live a few blocks from this B&B, which is a large, beautifully restored brownstone facing Prospect Park. I've had friends stay here twice and have seen 3 or 4 of the rooms. The rooms are opulent, furnished in heavy, Victorian furnishings and 19th-century paintings and decoration. Some of the rooms are small, others larger, since they have kept the original architecture of the building. There are a couple of large parlors on the ground floor, and a breakfast area and kitchen in the basement level. Brooklyn has few places to stay and this is certainly one of the best, unless you need all the traditional hotel services. I think a lot of their clientele are people visiting relatives or friends in the area who don't have space in their own apts. The rates aren't cheap but fair - around $150/night, but rates vary depending on your room. My friend had one room with a huge deck overlooking Brooklyn, and that room was definitely worth the money. One word of caution: the subway is a bit of a schlep from here, so if you will be traveling a lot by public transportation, this may not be the most convenient place to stay. more
