I lived at Bent Oak apartments for just over two years. While they may not look as shiny and new as other apartment complexes, I was very satisfied with my experience.
I found the apartments, which are just off Lake Saint Louis Blvd near 70, in general very quiet. I did have a troublesome neighbor for a few months towards the end of my stay, but other than that nothing loud, unpleasant, or unsafe. And the manager was very sympathetic about the neighbor. The management in general were very friendly and laid-back.
The buildings are older but well kept up. The management do their best to keep things clean and nice-looking. My only complaints would be that the laundry machines kept breaking down and weren't fixed right away; and that the steep driveways in the parking lots could be a little scary during the winters.
The price is definitely right. It includes trash and electric, but not water/sewer. Even with the extra water bill, I thought the price was better than most other apartments in the area. And they didn't raise the price at all while I was there--I know some apartments hike the rent every year.
