My husband and I bought our first home just over a year ago. We had no idea where to start and the whole process with all of its jargon sounded confusing to us. We turned to Margie Conrad, an agent with Schneider Real Estate. We chose her because we knew her from our church and several of our church friends spoke well of her. We were not disappointed at all.
Margie is a fun person with a good sense of humor, but she is also honest and dedicated. She went above and beyond in many ways. Helping a first time home buyer with a very small budget is maybe not the most financially rewarding job for a realtor but Margie was very patient. She says that she loves first time buyers because it's so exciting for them and she likes to help. She explained the process and terms very well and gave us honest advice about the houses we saw. Finally we found the perfect house and Margie walked us through each step.
Finally and most importantly we had some trouble just before closing, and Margie saw us through that as well. The seller, it turned out, was unable to cover all of the closing costs as stipulated in our contract. But rather than leave us without the house we wanted, Margie herself took a cut in her profits to make sure that the closing could go through as we hoped. Of course, she was a friend of ours, but I'm convinced that she would provide the same level of service to anyone.
When we sell, we plan to ask Margie to represent us again. I can't recommend her any more highly.
