Downtown Books is like an oasis in Corinth. It is situated on the corner of a block in downtown and is like entering another world. The inside is quaint, yet not stuffed. It is so easy to find things and get around. They have done an excellent job of renovating and decorating the building; it is what a bookstore should look like. As for books, they have a lot: a Southern section, Bestsellers, Children's books, art books, cookbooks, rare books, etc. Admittedly, they don't have a huge stock but whatever they don't have in stock, they will happily order. It is far better that they have less books and keep the store tidy and inviting than to cram it full of every title they possibly can! They have a very nice used book section, as well, and an enticing program where you can bring your used books and get store credit for them. Very nice. And, one of the best parts of Downtown Books is the amazing customer service. It is homey, like a Southern bookstore should be. The people who work there are never too busy to talk to you, help you with your selections and then, when the time is right, leave you alone. I can't say enough good about Downtown Books. I look forward to anytime I get to go in there. Delightful little store!
