My son just joined the I-league hockey team and we thought we'd all use this opportunity to get some family skate time in. We've been going over to the Southgate Community Center & Ice Rink to skate a couple times a week. It's so much fun and a pretty inexpensive way to spend an evening with your family. They even have skate rentals (figure skates & hockey skates) so if you don't have your own, don't let that stop you! Less than $5 gets you in the door and a pair of skates on your feet so head on over there for some chilly fun - just call ahead for open skates days and times.
