In NYC there are lots of places to take classes, however 92nd Street Y not only gives wonderful classes in all sorts of courses but is a World Class Facility.
Housed in a beautiful building on 92nd Street and Lexington Avenue, you can drop in for a lecture, a class or a date. There are annual events as well as seasonal ones.
You can learn a language, dive into your religion or find a great camp for your little ones. (My son went to camp there!)
I've taken photography and art classes and my husband belonged to their great gym facility.
