Sigh, i wish i had the same experience as the rest of you. 3/12/2006

it was with high hopes that i tried Salon Seven, but i ended up with a bad haircut. i first saw jaclyn - very very nice lady! - who talked about what hairstyle would best suit my face, etc. she gave me a decent cut but after less than 2 weeks, it looked like it already needed to be recut - shaggy, etc. so i called the salon and asked to have someone else recut my hair. that's when things really went downhill. when i told the receptionist that i wanted to make sure that whoever cut my hair was good with curly hair, she was dismissive and gave me the bitchy answer of "shelli HAS curly hair". ms. receptionist, a) that doesn't mean that someone *can* cut curly hair, and b) shelli has wavy hair, NOT curls. but i digress. shelli agreed with jacklyn's philosophy on what needed to be done with my hair and felt that the first cut was good, it just needed to be cut more. so i let her at it once we agreed that we'd keep the length (my long curls were doing a great job of sitting on my shoulders). i don't even know where to go from here. my hair looked horrible the next day, almost like a mullet. but i know from experience that sometimes it takes a few days for the style to set in so i tried not to worry. my hair did improve but it's still an unnatractive cut. the top is somehow flat - no curl. but then lower down it curls so i look like i have a shelf on top of my head. the sides are ok in places but in other places they are more kinked than curly, and even straight in a few areas. in general it's quite shorter than what i wanted. i hope others continue to have better luck. more
