Centrally located with parking and buses that arrive at the front door, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History is a museum in the traditional sense. It has large exhibits with realistic back drop paintings and scenes. Most people remember the dinos from their youth, but there are many other animals.
While some of the reviews online here recommend the museum for children, I think adults will have an equally good time. Adults and kids can benefit from joining a group tour that is offered several times during the day. Many of the docents are very good and add a lot of interesting material to the tours.
The gift store is a great place to find presents for kids and unusual and funky gifts for adults. Browse through books and toys---many of which cannot be found in any other bookstore.
