Fabulous, Fun and FREE! 4/17/2006

Centennial Olympic Park is a patchwork of green grass and red brick. It offers entertainment all year round. In the summertime there are fountains spraying from the five rings of the Olympic logo, free concerts and picnics. In the winter there is ice skating and holiday festivities. Be sure to see The Quilt of Remembrance in the NW corner of the park, a memorial to those killed by the 1996 Olympic bombing. While there are several restaurants nearby, if you get hungry to CNN Center's food court where the food is less expensive. Hint: Competitive sports, skating, biking and feeding the pigeons are prohibited. more
