Several years ago I had a corner fireplace and gas logs installed in my basement billiard room. It was relativey inexpensive and economical in heating the enire basemen which has 6 rooms. I believe the cost including installation was around $1500.00. You can also adjust the size of the flame thus adjusting the output of heat. I am thinking about putiing one in my bedroom as well. I really love a real fireplace, but since I can't have that I will take the next best thing, which is probably more economical and less dangerous anyway.
