There are lots of tanks to look in at the aquarium and little ones' interest can quickly wain. There is a discovery pool where kids can touch some of the marine animals. My kids love watching the octopus and the jelly fish. Their movements seem to be hypnotizing. Another good area for little children is a spot where kids can try on clothes divers wear. My favorite part of the aquarium is the underwater dome where you can see lots of marine animals native to the Puget Sound. It's also neat to be there to see the otters get fed. I think it's interesting to see how big seals are. I'm used to seeing them poke their heads up in the Sound. Their heads are tiny compared to their bodies! One drawback of the aquarium that I think is the nature of the beast is the fishy smell.
