Neat to visit! 9/30/2005

This is the Place Heritage Park is a neat place to visit with your family. There is a monument that marks the spot where the Mormon Pioneers first entered Salt Lake, and the view is beautiful. You can also visit the Young Farm. There is also a pioneer village complete with a horse-drawn trolley and employees in costumes from the period. There is also a Mormon Handicraft store on the premises with all sorts of unique, handmade craft items. The prices are reasonable, and you can also just get ideas for things to make on your own. Visiting the park and the store are free. There is an admission to visit the pioneer village, and it can be pricey if you are tkaing your family. It is neat to see, but I'd probably skip it - you can see plenty of similar things for free in Utah! more
