Recently I needed the services of the friend of the court. This is someone who takes testimony and then sends it to the court. I believe this is to cut down on the case load of judges in simple matters. The office is located in the back part of a house - no problem there. The office is a little older and reaaly could use a good spring cleaning and a coat of paint. If I am paying someone a lot of money, I like to have clean and pretty surroundings. The lawyer did her job although she was not very personable nor did she explain the process of exactly what was happening until everything was over and I asked specific questions. I wold expect an attorney to explain everything to a client before starting any procedures.
