Now that Subway has moved to a new location, Hungry Howie’s has moved into their old storefront. We received a flier with some great coupon offers and decided to try this new Hungry Howie’s.
The coupon we used got us a medium cheese or pepperoni pizza for just $2.99 as long as we picked it up ourselves. We were able to get one of each. We were also able to get a flavored crust without any extra charge. We got the pepperoni pizza with a butter crust. It was very greasy but improved the taste a lot. The plain cheese pizza was very bland.
The store is clean and neat, as would be expected since they’ve just opened. There are three or four booths for eating in the restaurant and a television for viewing. Everyone was very friendly. Our pizzas were ready within a reasonable amount of time and were prepared as we asked.
There are lots of specials including a different one for each night of the week. For example, there is a Wacky Wednesday special that gets you a large cheese pizza for $4.99. You can get toppings added for a fee. Again, this is for carry out only.
In addition to pizza, Hungry Howie’s has oven-baked subs, pasta, chicken wings and tenders, salads and desserts.
This location has drive-thru service, which I believe is a first for pizza shops in our area.
