I have been to the Eastern State Penitentiary twice - once during Halloween and the other time just to take a tour of the prison. The Haunted House is really well done and scary! I would not bring small children to this! (There are people jumping out of you at all times)! The regular tour of the penitentiary is very interesting and informant. I think it would be ok to brings children along for the tour. Also, check the ESP's website as they often will have coupons you can print out and get a few bucks off your tickets.
