I am eagerly awaiting the renovations that are ongoing at Copeland's. Its a restaurant that, while casual and not very pricey, can be a great place for a special occasion meal.
My top recommendation is the Blackened Bayou Chicken with its succulent sauce (especially if crawfish are in season) and taste-bud wowzer of a mushroom dressing. The biscuit that comes on the side is always great too - bring a couple home for your breakfast the next day.
Only con: maybe its me, but the interior has always been a bit too dark to see your food clearly... hopefully that is changing with the renovations...
