I think the Avon Park Publix is the cleanest grocery store in town. I also think it is the best in the customer service department. It is the only grocery store I can go to and ask them to order a product that I want but they do not stock and they will actually get that product in - and call me when they do! Having a bag "boy" take your groceries to the car and load them is standard fare - and no tipping allowed! These employees can be fired for accepting tips. Their fresh products - fruits, vegetables and meats - are all top grade. Having said all this, I rarely shop at Publix. When I do, I either buy something that is on sale or an item I cannot find at any other grocery. Why? Their prices are the highest in town.
