Caffe Strade is probably THE place to be seen while studying- if that's what you're after. It's conveniently located across the street from Berkeley's Kroeber Hall on the corner of College Ave and Bancroft. I usually only get coffee although they offer espresso drinks. I think what makes this place special is that they open late and it's a great spot to hang out. Last time I went I saw Cal's football coach Jeff Tedford in line ahead of me. If you ever need a place to study, this is it - but get here early, or you'll have to go back to campus!
