getting into laguna beach from inland is never that fun. we just don't go there in the summer because of the sawdust festival and the crowds.
but once you do get in there, it's all about taco loco and the blackened tofu and mushroom burger. it's a little bit of a pain to park, but you may as well walk around while you're there. the stuff at taco loco is cheap and good. they also have good beers.
the meals aren't huge and the place itself is not the cleanest, but i've never gotten sick and it's really become a staple for a lot of vegetarian folks.
i've had the calamari as well, but i just can't get enough of the tofu mushroom.
oh yeah, it's mostly outside seating, so not too great in cold, rainy weather.
open late...i think 2am.
