Dr. Locke delivered both of my daughters. I recommend him to all of my friends having children or just needing basic Ob/Gyn needs. He is not for everyone, but if you are looking for an OB that is not trying to make silly conversation while looking around down there then he is your man. It's all akward enough without feigned interest in your life.
Dr. Locke takes his time during your appointments. He does not rush you thru or treat you like a number. He will stop and answer any questions you have in a thorough manner - making sure to not just give an answer but also explain why that is the answer.
The standard practice at the Starkville Clinic for Women is to shift you around to all the Dr's b/c you never know who will deliver you. It is just whoever is on call at the time. Dr. Locke is the exception to this rule. He does not have you schedule appointments with any of the other Dr's and makes a sincere effort to see you thru your entire pregnancy including delivery.
Don't expect him to catch your jokes, and don't be suprised if he says something ridiculous and cracks himself up. But, he is a very sincere man who honestly cares about his patients.
