Talking Leaves is a great bookstore for someone looking for a place to lose a few hours and engage themselves in books. I enjoy quieter bookstores personally, and this is definitely one of them. There are two locations, one on Main Street and another on Elmwood Avenue, and both are small hole in the wall places. Both the University at Buffalo and Buffalo State College use this bookstore periodically for textbooks for classes, and these tend to be specialty titles which I find interesting. Many local authors can also be found here, which is great for the traveller looking for a hometown style book about the city.
